My life before CAPS was not a healthy one. I isolated and withdrew inside of myself. For the most part I had no human contact except for my weekly sessions with my counselor. Because I was interacting only weekly, my speech was affected. I would always stumble over my words and as far as I am concerned, I was barely coherent. I knew that what I was doing only added to my depression, but there wasn't a great deal I could do about it since I knew no one close to me.
